As with any product your essay, memoir, article needs beta testing before it should be sent to literary magazines, editors, agents, or publishers. Having a critique group is a critical tool to iron out any wrinkles in your text before sending it out for submission. You must find the right readers with the skills to review your work and provide helpful, specific feedback. Your best friend isn’t the ideal candidate. How do you find these gems?
